“A lot of what I'm hoping to do in learning about CHamoru food, is to really also see and show that diaspora hasn't forgotten. We are here, we are strong. I think that yes, I carry that within me, but I really carry that from my grandmother. That our communities haven't forgotten and are not forgetting and will not forget.”

“This is inspired by my grandmother's. It can never be my grandmother's, just like my story can never be her story. It can only be mine.”
